SMILE

The other day I was finished feeding Maddux and he smiled! Luckily I was able to grab a picture of it before it went away! I just think it is so cute. Today he smiled at me with his eyes open. Unfortunately, I didn't have my phone of a camera near me. Isn't he cute!

HELP...I NEED A VOTE

Ok, I need some help deciding...Should I cut my hair or not. I altered a photo in photoshop to give some idea of what it would look like. Now, we need to take into consideration that these pictures were taken on a good hair day when I had people here to watch my child while I got ready. Here's a picture of how it looks daily. So I need a vote. I'll probably do it anyway, but I just want to know what you think. Here's a picture of the hair I am thinking I want.

CUTE BABY

The other night we went to a reception and I dressed Maddux up all cute. He eats all the time and he's getting so big! He can finally fit into 0-3 month old clothes! Yea! Because that is the majority of what I have for him to wear. Before he was born I received an email from the BYU-I Alumni association saying that if we replied with the name of someone who is attending school who is having a baby we could get a free bib. So..I did it. You can't have too many bibs!

IT WAS A PARTY

So while the whole family was here I decided that I wanted some family pictures. These are some of the results. Maddux was actually really good during picture day...he slept. The whole time, so we don't have any of his eyes open. At least he wasn;t crying though or spitting up!

HALLOWEEN!

So everyone has come for the blessing tomorrow. It's totally crazy in the house, but it just feels like home growing up with people constantly in the house. It's a good thing that this town is big enough to have a few hotels! Savannah brought up Maddux's Halloween costume that she made...He was so cute in it and just feel right to sleep. The other night, Skyler carved his pumpkin in the transformer traditional style. Last year was Autobots, this year was decepticons. Nate, Skyler's best friend came up too. We had fun dressing him up for halloween. He went as Quail Man to party with Kadie, Savannah, and Skyler's brother Spencer. Lucky for me, Mom is back to give me some sleep and sty up with the baby. Grandma, I thought you'd like this picture of Skyler and Maddux asleep. Today we took family pictures, so when we get those we'll post them for everyone.

MOMENTS WITH MADDUX....

Maddux talks all the time now! But I'm saving these so I can remember them...

Well, Maddux isn't quite talking yet for me to post the funny things he says, but this boy is an "adventurer" Grandpa Donn says. So here are the latest "moments with Maddux."

*The other day Skyler is calling for me to come up from my in-laws basement only to find Maddux standing at the top of the stairs laughing and holding a Dr. Pepper that he cracked open just enough to get some drink out. Apparently Skyler had shoved it into my purse the other night when leaving our friends house, unbeknownst to me, but obviously not the little man.

*I came down stairs because Maddux was being unusually quiet, and I knew he was not napping. I found my purse dumped out with wrappers from "my not-so-secret-anymore" stash of candy all over the floor and him covered in chocolate with two suckers in his hand. To top it off, he had a big smile and his hand out to share with me. ;)

*Two nights ago, after Maddux had his bath I put on his diaper and delayed getting him into his pajamas for whatever reason. About 5 minutes later I find him trying to put on his jacket and light up Spiderman shoes to go outside. It was too cute. I had to let him go out and play.

*Maddux has started trying to get me to pay attention to him, when he is a whining wreck, by falling to the ground and slowly hitting his head on something to show me that he is hurt. He started this in California a couple weeks ago. Friends were over for dinner and he began to throw a fit and he fell down next to a bike helmet. So he stopped crying for a second, scooted over and bonked his head on the helmet and resumed crying. Grandpa Donn says he should take his act to Hollywood!

More with Maddux...

We took a little family trip to Best Buy a couple days ago and while Maddux and I waited for Daddy to be through with The Geek Squad a very tall man walked by in a very long black trench coat. Luckily, he was out of ear shot because Maddux grabbed my hand and says, "Momma, bad guy. Bad guy, Momma." I just had to laugh! And then I told him he was not a bad guy, of course!

Maddux the other day was climbing on something and not listening to me when I told him to get off. So walking by a gave him a little tap on the head and told him to get off again. The boy jumped off and followed me into the kitchen saying,
"Ma! No hit! No hit me!" Totally calling me out! I guess he does listen to me!

I guess Maddux pays a lot of attention to Skyler. While at my in-laws he was playing with some fake little money, handed me some and told me, while pointing to himself, "Go work." Then rubbing his face, "Shave, go work." I asked him if he was going to go shave his face and then go to work like Daddy? "Uh huh."
