So the world knows now, Skyler made it "Facebook Official" before I had a chance to breathe, but we are having BABY NUMBER 2! We are due May 30th. We are excited, a little worried how two will be. However, Maddux is older and is understanding and is taking this all well.(At least until the baby comes home and he realizes the attention is not all funneled to him!) When I am feeling awful, which is ALL THE TIME, he will leave me alone and play with his toys, I love it! I feel like if he was any younger I'd have more whining and neediness to deal with. I was talking with a friend of mine and she has 2 boys that are the same distant apart as my kids will be and she made a good point. Next year Maddux will start school and I will have alone time with the baby that I wouldn't get otherwise. That will be great because I love that I have had these 3 years with Maddux all by himself and really got to know him. Really, when do parents ever get to give their children so much attention when others come along? This will never happen again, so I am so glad that I got to spend so much time with my CONSTANT companion. (I mean, he even had to go to my OB appt today!) Hopefully he, and I, will handle sharing me between THREE people!

So anyway, that is the latest around here! Well, Skyler's business is booming so I could talk about that, but that is not nearly as excited as a new baby!

NYC!

We went to NYC at the end of September! Just us, NO Maddux! Luckily I have a great friend who has 4 great boys that the monster just LOVES, along with a great mother that helped us so we could live it up in NYC! Of course, I forgot the real camera, but luckily Skyler had his phone and these are some of the shots we got! This was a real adventure for us! One of the days we got caught in a CRAZY HEAVY rain storm and our umbrella broke, so the two of us ran in the rain looking for a place to get a new one! We ended up having to go buy all new clothes because we happened to be staying in Staten Island that day and needed to get up to the Bronx for a Yankee/Red Socks game...which got rained out! At the end of our trip, Skyler had booked a dinner for us that was completely out of our comfort zone, but a zone I would not mind being in one day! He thought it was 5 courses for 2 for $115. Not so much. Try per person! Eek! But, it was fun! Totally did not bring the right shoes, so did NOT do all the shopping we wanted to do because we were so drained. But one day, after learning from this trip, we will go back!

We missed the OCCUPY Protests by a day! We were in the airport waiting for our flight when we heard that the protests started the night before!

We went to church in the Manhattan building. Totally cool and insane how the minute you walk in the city sounds are GONE!

Little Italy has an annual week-long street fair that takes up MANY blocks and streets. It was insane all the people and vendors there! (I guess it "used to be" run by the mafia...)

I DID NOT eat this. But Skyler LOVED it!

THE BEGINNINGS OF DECORATING/ORGANIZATION...MOSTLY ORGANIZATION

So, we are ALL moved in and love, love, LOVE the new apartment. It is just so nice to be in a quiet area, and up high enough that we can have our windows open all the time and not worry about the people walking by and the noise from the cars. I think I am probably making our last apartment sound like a dump, which it wasn't. It worked. It was fine. This one is much better though! I think I was supposed to move into those ones though, for two reasons. So that Skyler and Logan Moore (Amanda Summerhays'husband) could become friends and we could all be close friends and second so that I could meet and become great friends with my friend Karen Wynder.

Anyway, I had to give up a few things for this nicer apartment and nicer area. For example, the second bathroom, a closet in Maddux's room, extra cupboards in the kitchen and a BIG laundry room(for an apartment). BUt the fact that I can leave my apartment and take my child for a walk around a little lake, feed ducks and geese make it all worth it. Plus, I get a very nice size garage for storage of what doesn't fit or what I don't want in the apartment.

So, I have had to get creative for storage. Here are some pictures of what I have done.

I don't have many drawers and I needed a place for my kitchen towels and rags.

I thought this was cute, got this idea(and the jar idea)from Karen!

This is to make up for my lack of cupboard space. This is in the closet where the washer/dryer go.

We got these in Idaho from some friends to use when Maddux was a baby. It makes a great armoir and makes up for the missing closet in his room(which his technically the Den)!

His clothes fit pretty well in here. A little tight because Grandma Kathy LOVES to go to Gymboree! But I am not complaining!

I have not fastened a rod to hang the clothes on in the bottom right locker. I made a rod out of old wire hangers and electrical tape. There are holes on the sides of the lockers I ran them through and then bent the ends to keep them put. It seems to work!

We got this dresser and used it as a changing table when he was born. It's just a cheap Kmart find, but in our move to Colorado the bottom drawer totally broke. So I ripped it out and decided to not throw it away, but use these old fabric basket drawers I had from my single days. It holds his socks and shoes. I love it and he knows right where to find, and PUT AWAY his shoes!

I saw this at Clairie-Poo's house when we visited Utah.

This is in my bathroom. We downsized and only have one bathroom now. I thought it would be awful, but it really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. My linen closet is not nearly as big as my old one, however I am making do and this is one way I am making it work. I have had these baskets for years! I got them from IKEA back when I was single. I just have kept them because I love them and I ALWAYS have a use for them.

Finally, the living room has the pictures up, but that is about it.

When IKEA opens, which is supposed to be next month I hear, I am going to get curtains and more goodies to decorate the house with. (I have already gone through the website to see what I want!)

MOVING!

We are moving in about 3 weeks! This was really a split decision since we got the notice, less than a week ago, that upon signing a new 12 month lease our rent would be raised, for a second time, $35 dollars or $135 for month to month. Well, our place is certainly not worth it, especially since we are RIGHT next to an extremely busy road. We got this place in the beginning because it was just under $800 and discounted because of the noise from the road. Anyway, now it's $100 dollars more than when we first came. So, Skyler got mad. Made some phone calls, tried to get them to work with us, but they wouldn't. So...we found a MUCH better place. I LOVE it! It is in a GREAT area and I can actually leave my apartment with Maddux, not have to scream at him over the noise of the cars, not panic that he is going to be hit, and not have to walk as fast as I can to the car to avoid the "high class" smoking men's stares. Although it is sudden, I CAN'T WAIT!

There is only ONE downside to the new apartment: ONE BATHROOM! BUT, there are so many good things that I will deal with it! It's really great because they pay for our cable, give us a garage, and have front door trash pick up!(Skyler loves that one) AND, it is cheaper than our apt now! We are also moving back into his home stake and into the ward of our good friends, The Smith's. However, he is the Bishop, so I highly doubt we will be able to hide from callings or speaking! ;o)

I don't think I will have them put red on the wall. My friend gave me the idea to paint the wall around the fireplace and leave the fireplace wall white. I think I like that...

I am having a hard time packing because all I can think about is how I am going to decorate this place. My friend Karen, www.karinaink.blogspot.com, is so stinking creative and her house has so many good ideas that she has inspired me to be more crafty. I can't wait for garage sale season to see if I can find some hidden jems to add to my house. I figure this move will be the perfect opportunity to revamp my little place of living, whether Skyler likes it or not! I figure, I am the one here all day, so I might as well LOVE it! ;o)

Some update...Skyler's business is going REALLY well. I feel very blessed to have found a man that is motivated, passionate and determined to support his family. He loves his work and we are finding out everyday that it really is more about who you know rather than what you know. Seriously, his business is doing so well because he knows SO MANY people and those people refer others to him and so on. We are very blessed and can only pray that this continues. This is crazy, he is getting so much work that he went through BYU-IDAHO and got an intern for the summer! I'm not sure when she starts, but I'm just glad has someone to help, because I have enough to do as it is!

Anyway, I will update once the new place is all set up!

Well...Skyler and I have now been married for four years! We've had our moments, but it has been wonderful! I feel very lucky to be married to a motivated, hardworking, gospel oriented man, and most importantly my BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD! So I thought I would put up some pictures of us and our growing family over the years.

I love my honey and I'm looking forward to the next four years + some...or a lot, like ETERNITY! I just feel so lucky and love him so much I had to tell everybody!

Here is an update of our lives, as well as some Christmas morning pictures.

Skyler is still contracted with Quizno's Corporate offices working in their on-line marketing department. They even invited us to the our first Cocktail Party for Christmas! Although, it probably wasn't as fun as it could have been since we were just drinking Coke and Sprite! Currently he is also working for another branch of Quizno's as well. He is heading up the team for the internet marketing of THE QUIZNO'S PRO CHALLENGE. Quizno's is working with Lance Armstrong and are putting on a "Tour de France" here in Colorado this coming August. Even though the work load is A LOT with both jobs, along with the companies he is working with through his own business, not to mention I never see him, it is great to see him so passionate about his work and loving it. A few weeks ago he actually spoke at a little Business Women's Seminar and taught them the benefits of SEO. A couple leads came out of it and has since built more clientele for his company, FIRESTARTER SEO. I guess the only downside to having your own business is all the taxes we have to pay as well as our own "benefits." HOwever, Skyler loves it and it is going surprisingly well with this economy.

I am still working for Donn doing his typeset and design. It's perfect because I am able to work from the house while Maddux naps. I recently just finished up a Menu for the South East Denver Embassy Suites hotel Restaurant and Room Service Menu along with some other companies letterhead and business cards. So that is the kind of stuff I am doing and loving it!

Maddux is growing and growing and sort of talking. His vocabulary grows everyday. It was interesting the other day because I have been concerned about him not forming ENGLISH sentences and only saying one word in "our language" along with a gesture to get his point across. Then I came across our friends blog and she said she thought it was common for kids to develop quicker in certain areas than others. So my conclusion from this idea is that Maddux is going to be a great athlete! This kid has an arm and to say the least a very, very, VERY proud Daddy!

Daddy and Grandpa Donn built a train table for Maddux, however the train did not get here in time! Luckily, Gigi got Maddux a toy and saved the day!

The Monday after Christmas the train came and we set it up then brought Maddux out to see it. A month later, he is still playing with it EVERYDAY!

Ok, it's been a while since I updated the blog and I have received some flack for it. ;) So here are some pictures from the past month or so.
Savannah Came to visit for about 5 days. It was too short! But now she is just over in Provo going to Beauty School, so I am hoping that maybe she can stop over for Christmas, if mom will let her! ;)

September 11th we went to the Rockies v. Mets baseball game. It was Maddux's first pro game and he didn't do too bad. I think when he's older he'll enjoy it more!

Skyler and Maddux both had their birthday's this month. Maddux on the 1st and Skyler on the 4th, so we went out to our favorite pizza to celebrate. We had grandma and Grandpa Malley and some friends come and join us; Chase Ravsten w/o his wife and daughter because they were in Utah and Logan and Amanda(Summerhays)Moore...yup that's right! They live two floors above us! Logan is going to school out here so Amanda and I found the apartment! It's so fun to have them close and Maddux LOVES them, especially Logan!

After Dinner we went and opened presents!

We couldn't decide what maddux was going to be for Halloween, until Poppa Steve came to the rescue! However, the costume is for a 4 year old...but with a needle and thread, I made it work! Plus, Maddux is OBSESSED with Iron Man so he LOVES the
costume!

We found an APARTMENT! This is great news to me because I have been searching the last month and a half for that perfect deal! Funny thing is, I found these apartments at the beginning of my search, but didn't check them out until a week ago. However, I suppose if I found them first, I would not have jumped on it so quick because I would have wanted to keep looking. I did find some other places that I loved more, but this place has the location we need and a wonderful price. Plus, it's in the air that there is a possibility Quizno's will hire Skyler as a full time employee rather than a contract employee. If that happens we are leaving the apartment life and heading to a house!
Well it has been pretty hot here. It's funny because growing up in California it was always hot, so high 90's was normal. But high 90's and low 100's in the mile high city, a lot closer to the sun than Sacramento...there is a difference. I mean, I can lay out side for about 20 minutes and come inside a lobster. So, to cool off...Maddux got to play in the little kiddie pool the neighbor's let us use. So here are some pictures. He obviously was having a blast.
The other pictures are from a graduation party here for a friend of ours. Maddux found his old football helmet and didn't want to take it off.

Skyler got contracted out to Quizno's! He starts on Monday! We are so happy! Now we are just waiting on a couple other companies to see if they will contact him out as well. And now...apartment hunting! I wish I could say house hunting, but an apartment will be fine! We are excited to be entering into the "real" world with a steady income! ::::I wonder what that is like?::::

We are here! Skyler started his internship with Quizno's and Smashburger and is loving it. We are praying that they will love him and that it will turn into a job after.

He's all professional now!

So since it is unpaid, we are staying with his parents. We all know how that goes! I swore I would never jump on the living-with-your-in-laws boat, however, we had no choice. So....come the first couple paychecks...we are OUT!

I want it to turn into a job because I found a house that I am in love with.

This house is out in Castle Rock. About 20 minutes outside of Denver. The very best part is that it is in our best friend's Chase and Mandi's ward!

I love the kitchen! I love that it doesn't look like all the cookie cutter home kitchens!

The hard wood is beautiful! And the house is only $223,000! Insane! 4 bedroom, 3 bath with a finished basement! So hopefully, it will stay on the market for another month and a half! Otherwise, I'll have to find another! ;(

Well, for the grandparents and aunties and uncles...her are some pictures of the little guy being a...what grandpa Malley calls a "terrorist." He then altered it to be more positive, an "explorer."

It is official, we are moving to Denver. Skyler was offered an internship with Quizno's corporate office in their online marketing department and also an internship with their sister company Smashburger. Kathy, Skyler's mom happened to be talking to an old friend from their old ward and her husband is the CMO(chief marketing officer) of Quizno's and he was Skyler's old Teacher's Quorum leader when he was young. Not to mention friends with his son. Anyway, Anne gave his mom Trey's number and Skyler called him up. I guess it was meant to be because about a week later, we were in Denver and Skyler was in an interview. He actually had an interview with a PR firm in Denver, but we feel it wouldn't be as beneficial at this point for him, however we are hoping they will use him when they outsource their SEO(search engine optimization: what get's you to the top of Google) needs. Anyway, I guess Smashburger called Trey and told him that they heard he had an intern with experience in online marketing and that they wanted him! So cool! Skyler met with both Quizno's and Smashburger and later that night Trey sent him an email saying they both wanted him! So he starts May 3rd working 3 days at Quizno's and 2 days at Smashburger. He will have a mentor over at Quizno's and then take that info and implement it into Smashburger.
He is way excited because apparently the offices are smack in the middle of downtown Denver. A beautiful change from old Rexburg, Idaho! So we are hurrying to pack everything! It is so weird. Kind of surreal that our time here is at an end. I NEVER thought this day would ACTUALLY come. It is crazy that it is happening. I am so excited! I can't wait to move on. Now, we just have to pray that they love Skyler and offer him a high-paying job! ;)

WE DID IT! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

Well, we finally did it! Skyler and I BOTH received our Bachelor's Degree! It was such a long semester, very tough with both of us going full time and having to get sitters for Maddux, but now that it is done it was worth it. I feel so blessed to have great friends and wonderful family that helped us this semester. Skyler's degree is in Business Management and Marketing with a cluster(1/2 minor)in web design/development. Mine is a University Studies degree(which means my general studies courses became my major) with a minor in Home and Family Studies and a cluster in Humanities and a cluster in Art History. I had hoped to be able to receive a degree in art, however the program is VERY demanding and after having Maddux I didn't think I could dedicate the time needed for me to succeed as apposed to just getting by. (Example of the art department mentality: I was taking a graphic design class when I found out I was pregnant and that class ALONE kept me up most nights until 4am. If I did what the teacher asked, then I would receive a "C" in the class. So when he asked for 60 thumbnail sketches of logo ideas, I should come with at least 100 if I hoped for an "A"). Although the degree is not what I planned to get when I first came up here all those many years ago(2003-ouch!), I stuck with my schooling and can now put a B.S. on my resume. (Sounds kind of funny...sometimes I think that is what all of it was: BS!)
I am just happy that I can now be a full time Mommy! I felt so bad the many, many times I had to lock myself away from my family to study for a test or work on a project. My poor little boy would cry outside the door! Not anymore! Maybe now I will have a more consistently clean house! ...Well I can hope can't I?
My parents and Paige came, along with Skyler's Dad, brother Spencer and his wife Kaitlin. They were wonderful to sit through both ceremonies! It was great to have them here to celebrate this with us. And Skyler and I actually got to walk together. They let couples pick which department to walk with, so we chose mine because it was fewer people! Here are a few pictures from the excitement!

So,... Maddux now has a fascination with shoving things in his nose. Every time he eats he HAS to shove the food in the nose. So...tonight I turned away for a second and then he started crying. I checked his nose and saw nothing...okay? So I'm playing with him and I thought I saw it! Skyler and I pinned him down but with no avail. Nothing. It was bath time and then play time with Daddy....and then! He was laughing and out popped the food! A piece of freeze dried apple. Anyone know these? From Parent's Choice? Perfect nostril size...so I have found.

It's crazy how much he has grown! April first = 18 months = NURSERY! Holy cow, time has flown by! This semester is taking forever! We are close though, to graduation. Poor Maddux, he has hardly had parents with us both in school. I'll be so glad when this is over...but hey! I stuck with it! I am getting a degree! I DID NOT give up! It may not be the coolest degree, but it's a degree!

It has been forever since I have put up a new post. I apologize. So here are some pictures from the last little while.

This is the norm for Daddy and Maddux. Daddy chasing him and watching t.v. together.

Maddux found some marinara sauce when mommy and daddy weren't looking.

On our way to Nate and Chelsea's wedding and to Denver for Thanksgiving, we got to see Claire, Lolli and Ryan down in Provo. Maddux loved Lolli's bus, but was not happy when she decided she wanted it! It was so great to see them and totally due!

We had Thanksgiving and then an early Christmas with the Malley side of the Family this year. Grandma gave Maddux a stuffed Eore that he loved! He LOVES My friends Tigger and Pooh and has really started to recognize who the characters are.

Well this is all I have time for at this point. Maddux is waking up, so next time he naps I'll have to try and post more!

It's COLD outside now so I just had to get a picture of the little man in his cute jacket that grandma Malley got him!

So Maddux is now walking like crazy and climbing onto everything. The only problem is...he can't get down. I had to get a picture of this. It was hilarious.

Halloween was fun. We went to our ward party and it was partly put on by the primary so my booth was the trunk-or-treat bags that the kids got to decorate. It was a great hit! I got my men to dress up with me, too! There was some arm twisting with Skyler, but he finally gave in! And everyone loved Maddux's letterman jacket. Mom, they were very impressed! I had to get pictures of our friends, Brandon and Ruth Bishop's kids. Sisily, Ayla and Daphne were the cutest nuns! She makes their costumes every year and does such a great job! She bribed them with chocolate to stand and pose for the camera. And the Warners were so cute and funny too!

GROWING!

Maddux just keeps getting bigger! What's up with that? He has finally out grown his infant car seat and is now in a big boy chair. He LOVES it! It is so funny to watch him because now he can see where we are going and be next to the window. He also thinks it's funny to look at us in the rear view mirror and plays peek-a-boo with daddy. He is walking so much now, hardly ever crawls and just wants to go all over the place.
Some amazing news...Maddux has started, for the last week or more, to go to bed early AND sleep COMPLETELY through the night. I can't tell you all how amazing this is! Early for us is like 8:30 or 9pm. It used to be between 10:30 and midnight before he would calm down and not cry for forever in his bed. And then he would wake up hungry at about 5am. Not anymore! Now we have to wake him at 7:30 to take Daddy to school! LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

This last year with Maddux has been absolutely wonderful. With a bunch of friends being pregnant and having babies, it is a little bittersweet to look at my own baby and know that he is growing and will never be a baby again. Here's some pictures from Maddux's little party we had Thursday night. We had some good friends and family over and all the little kids loved all of Maddux's presents. Especially his sweet cousin Connor. He tried to leave with Maddux's new police car. It was so funny, but he willingly gave it back. Now we know what Connor next gift should be! ;) We had lots of fun and it was great to have everyone there, crammed into our little place! I love this picture of him standing and walking. It's like "Yeah, I walk. No big deal!"
Tonight we went out to dinner with some friends for Skyler's birthday and then went and played lazer tag! That was so fun. I can't remember the last time I did that!

I just have to say how bittersweet it is that my baby is not a baby anymore. He is ONE TODAY! He just seems so old, walking so much now, like it's no big deal,,,wearing big boy clothes and shoes....WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LITTLE BABY?!

We were finally able to get Maddux to walk on film! He's been trying to walk for a while now, only taking a few steps and then dropping down to crawl. But Maddux and I just got back from California and while we were there he decided to do it a lot more. I think part of it was that he saw his cousin Spencer walking and they played together a little bit. So when Spenc was walking around GG's house Maddux did too! So here's him yeterday morning going back and forth from Mommy and Daddy. Just 5 more days and my baby won't be a baby anymore!! He'll be ONE! I can't believe it will be a year since he was born. So so crazy!

MY BABY IS 11 MONTHS OLD TODAY! Boy has the time just flown by or what? One more month and he won't be a baby anymore! How sad...But today he proved he is well on his way to becoming a toddler. I came out of the hallway and this is what I found.

So tonight after dinner Maddux saw the oreos on the counter and...well I thought I'd be a fun mommy and the pictures explain it all. You can even see his top teeth if you look close! He has been making this face all the time now too, opening his mouth!
I almost forgot the BEST part of tonight! He pooped in the tub for the first time! At least it was solid! ;) He was just standing at the faucet, a little fart out of his cute bum, and then it came before I even knew what was happening! But...a little Clorox for the tub, a little wipe of the bum and we were good!
Then our friends Calvin, Andrea and Madi came over. So we had to get pictures with the two kids. Maddux seems to be very fascinated by little Madison. When she cries and makes any noise. He keeps wanting her eyes and laughs every time he touches her arm. It's adorable.

Alright, so much has happened since Fourth of July, I apologize for not updating the blog. So the big things are these:
Skyler got laid off from his job, which in reality is not a bad thing. Well, the company, as of this coming Friday, will shut down it's Rexburg location. They told every one like 6 weeks earlier. Anyway, one Friday Skyler sat there talking to the managers about his business ideas and plans and when he came back on Monday they said they were letting him go early so he could focus on that. So, we left for our vacation!
We went to California for about a week and it was so nice to get out of Rexburg! We had our family reunion and I think it was the most fun I've had at a Reunion in a long time. Perhaps that is because I haven't been to a reunion in a long time! I cut my hair off, along with Cristina and Rachael. I was relentless with my nagging Cristina to do it, and it totally paid off because it is so cute. All three of us got the same hair cut and when the Utah cousins came, Tara, Jackie, and Lauren.. they had the same hair too! So we just HAD to document it! And Maddux got hid first hair cut too! He looks just like a little man now! He did pretty well, too. towards the end he was like, "OK grandma! I'm done now!" but up 'til then he just let grandma cut while he played with his toy.
As you can see from the pictures, his Aunties gave him all kinds of "good" food. Probably didn't help because Maddux got sick towards the end of our trip. Throwing up...it was gross and really bad. Projectile. Anyway, when we got home we all got sick and basically moped around the apartment for a week. Then at the end of the week he got a fever, we took him in and nothing. Nothing was wrong except that he was teething. He's getting his top two teeth and the doctor said it was rare that a kid will get a 101 fever while teething, but that's what was happening. He's much better now, though. Sleeping is not so difficult and his teeth have broken through. They look huge to me! I think he's going to have these big front teeth! It'll be so cute!
Our friends Calvin and Andrea had their baby girl 3 weeks ago! Madison Lynn Warner. She is so cute and so tiny! It's crazy to think that Maddux was actually SMALLER than her! Here's some pics of her too.
We are working on my website and Skyler's, so while those are in the process I have started a new blog to showcase some of my work. Obviously there will be more on the website, and more categories, but I just wanted to show a few of my favorites and give y'all a taste of what I can do. Christmas is on it's way, so if anyone wants to order Christmas cards let me know!

Well, we had a fun and busy weekend. We decided to go camping before grandma and grandpa got up here. Spencer, my brother-in-law, and his new wife Kaitlin came up for a couple days and they went with us and the Warners. We figured Andrea is getting very close to her due date, so this is probably the last she can go with us. It was Maddux's first time camping and he did great. He loved the fire and the food....daddy gave him an oreo. He was wonderful until 4:30 in the morning when he woke up totally scared and a little cold. PLus, it didn't help that his diaper leaked all over himself. So after about 30 minutes he calmed down enough to fall asleep with daddy in his sleeping bag.
We got to see my grandpa and grandma and coray and evelyn and jordan and aaron this weekend. They all came up for Eli's blessing. Eli is Clay and Rachael's second baby. And Conner, their first, had his 2nd birthday party with everyone here. It was so cute to see Conner with Maddux. They liked eachother, but I don't think Maddux quite knew what to this of him.

So Maddux is getting too good at crawling and pulling himself up that it is really keeping me on my toes. The other day I was trying to do the laundry and he would not stay out of the basket. Finally I just let him play and I turned around for just a minute and the boy was up on the couch! (This is his new face that he makes...I just had to show it!) Then last night Skyler was playing with him on the couch and the little monster climbed up to the counter to get the pen he saw! This kid! He's growing way too fast! Luckily, he hasn't figured out how to climb up to the couch without a full laundry basket!
The past few weeks it has been totally rainy and cold, up until this week anyway, so I put these little duck slippers on his feet and amazingly...he left them on!
So at the moment Skyler and I are getting ready to wrap up the end of the semester. Thank goodness! We are also trying to get his web design business off the ground. He has picked up about 3 other guys who are willing to work with him and try to get this thing going. So if you need a website or know anyone....!! At the same time, we are trying to get my site up. I'm going to attempt to start my own in hopes to bring in some extra cash. I will be making cards, like shower invitations, birth announcements, wedding, graduation, special occasion..all that good stuff. So again, if you need anything....! We will see how far all this takes us. Hopefully out of Rexburg very, very soon!

So we have started giving Maddux the sippy cup when he eats and he loves it. Now he tries to drink the bath water from the cup in his tub. I had to post these because they are so cute and show how much he is turning into a little man. No more infant for us. I think this is going to be my child that I will have to fight to keep young. He just wants to be a big kid. He's rather stand by the couch than play with all his toys. Although, I did manage to capture him playing with his toys after his bath.

ATLANTA

So we went to Atlanta this last weekend for Spencer's wedding. Atlanta was beautiful, so was the wedding and it was WONDERFUL and very much needed to get away and out of Rexburg. I was so excited because I got to see my Aunts and they got to meet Skyler and Maddux. They loved him! But who couldn't! He was ideal on the four plane rides he had to go on. We even got a compliment when we arrived in Atlanta! He slept, played with his toys and ate. Spencer and Kaitlin married in the same temple my parents did, so I had to take pictures so they could see how different it is now. So on Sunday we flew home at 4 o'clock and our plane was delayed a half hour, so we had 10 minutes to rush to our connecting flight in Denver, only to find out that that flight was delayed two hours. So....we didn't get home from Salt Lake until about 1:30 in the morning. Then Maddux, who slept on the plane and in the car....didn't go to bed until 2:30-3ish. So, I skipped my 8am and 9am classes today. ;) I much needed the sleep since his sleeping schedule was all out of wack this weekend and I hardly slept. But here are some pictures from this weekend. Today was beautiful! Summer has finally come. We are so happy because winter is no fun here. Especially with a little one that gets locked up inside with the oh-so-cold weather. So we went outside and washed the car and let little man "swim." He loved it and absolutely hated it when I brought him back inside. As you can see, though, he found something to do. He's crawling and climbing on everything he can reach. And he LOVES this huggies box. All his other toys can't compete!

So, today Maddux decided he would crawl for real! And I got it on video. He has mastered the army crawl and is so quick and strong. He pushed over the stroller! This kid is unreal. He has THE strongest grip and legs. He's now pulling himself up and crawls all over the house. He's seven months old and I can hardly keep up. The future will keep me skinny!
He's now babbling ALL the time! I wish i could get video of it, but every time I try he stops and just stares at me. He screams and yells just so he can hear his voice. He will even try to mimic us when we yell with him or growl. It's so cute!
I got him this new bath tub in the shape of a duck. It's great because he LOVES the bath and it's small enough that I don't really have to worry about him falling over in the water.
I think he's getting more teeth in because lately he's been drooling non stop buckets. So we'll see when his next ones come in. I think I can see two little white spots on his lower gums on each side of his teeth.
Man they grow so fast! Next thing I know it'll be kindergarten and then graduation! Where does the time go? I can hardly even remember him being a newborn and it wasn't that long ago! He acts more like a toddler now than a baby!
P.S. Skyler thinks is funny to hold him in the air, so does Maddux! Do you see his snotty nose? That is how he looks everyday and hates me when I wipe it! i just had to capture it the grossness! The Twizzlers made the car ride so much more bearable..and he LOVED it!

So yesterday I felt like the worst mommy because I put Maddux in his crib, not knowing that he now can pull himself up by the railing. So I'm getting ready and I hear a thud and screaming. Poor boy was on the floor! So I guess I just wasn't thinking, because he's fallen off the couch before, so I didn't take him in and just ran around and did all the stuff I had to do. So after our date night we noticed Maddux had a bump on his head. He had been real fussy all day, not eating much and throwing up, so we decided to take him to the ER to make sure he was okay. He ended up getting a CAT scan and we found out he had a concussion. So the nurse told us to keep him off solids for a bid and give him clear liquids. She told us that coke actually was best for his tummy. So we watered it down and at church today he had the best tasting bottle! He LOVED it too. A boy after my own heart! So...after a crazy day and night, he's been so much better today. We lowered the crib last night, so now it looks like we have a two year old, not a seven month old. The ER nurse was so impressed, and sad for us, with how strong he is. She kept telling me how I wouldn't have a baby for long with him pulling stunts like this. She says he's trying to grow up too fast. I completely agree. He's trying to climb and get into EVERYTHING! He did pee ALL over himself today while I was changing his diaper. I mean, so much that on the changing table in the women's bathroom his head was basically in a puddle of urine. Gross, I know. So Skyler, since I am now the second councilor in the primary presidency and had to stay, took him home to clean him of his foul smell! ;)

It is crazy how time flies by! I can't believe he is already seven months old! Here are seven things about Maddux for his seven months of life with us!
1. He will eat one jar of food in one sitting....if I let him.
2. The amount of teeth he has at the moment...the seconed came peeking through the gums the other day!
3. About the amount of naps he takes a day. If 10 min. cat naps count!
4. The number of bottles he eats a day.
5. The number of toys he plays with at a time to keep away from the bookshelf.
6. At 6 is when Daddy comes home....his FAVORITE person! Because Daddy makes him laugh SO SO SO much!

So last night we went out to dinner and grocery shopping and I got Maddux ready and purposly put him in red and a baseball hat to look like daddy. Then as we were on the road I realized I was wearing red too. Which by the way, I had been wearing the red first, the other two changed into the red before we left. I just thought it was funny that we were a matching red family. like we were going to take some family pictures or something. To had icing to the cake...we ate at TGI Friday's were their colors are white and RED. It was a bit overkill and yes, I noticed a few stares. But this is a cute picture of Maddux and Daddy.

Today, Maddux woke up with his first tooth! I could hardly believe it when my friend told me. My friend Louisa noticed it the other day that it looked like a tooth was going to come through and then she saw it when she was watching him while I had class. I couldn't wait to see it and then there it was. Just a tiny little white tooth peeking out of his gums! He is getting so big, so fast. He is army crawling EVERYWHERE and trying to really crawl. He gets up on all fours and rocks himself until he decides to lunge himself. He's just becoming a little boy, not a baby!! AND! The greatest thing...He sleeps ALL through the night now! He has started to go to bed around nine and sleep until 6:30/7 o'clock! Oh, it's wonderful! Perfect because I have class at 8 Monday-Thursday.Which, by the way, if my major and clusters are approved, I only have ONE semester left(only 3 classes left)!! The end is in sight! I can just see the light! How beautiful it is!!!!!!

So Maddux is eating everything now and trying to eat everything. The other night Skyler gave him a Twizlers and he had a field day with that. He just loved it, it was hilarious. He loves saltine crackers too and always wants to eat more than his bottle. So we started putting him in his high chair to eat. He looks so cute in his chair. I love it! so, we have had a busy two weeks. first we had Skyler's mom and sister come to town for about a week. They have all the pictures from that week. Then after they left, my family drove up for a week. Both sides, of course, LOVED Maddux. I mean, that's why people come to visit us anymore. So here are some pictures. Each of them couldn't get enough of him. He's just gotten so big a squishy. They got to see him scoot across the floor. It's so cute. And he's getting SO fast. The seconed we put him down on the floor he's across the room! I won't be surprised if he's crawling by next month. We had to take all the glass, pictures and candles off the DVD shelf because he has started to grab at them. It's crazy how fast he's growing. While grandma Lisa was here he started eating so much more. Now he seems to want solids more than a bottle. He's eating bananas, cauliflower, green beans. She even gave him crushed stawberries that he loved! And hated the garlic bread she gave him. He threw up everywhere after that one! He's getting so big, but we love him! I can hardly imagine him when he's was new born anymore!

So Maddux is working on sitting up, but I wonder if he's going to crawl before he can completely sit up. I makes his way across the floor all the time. It's so crazy to see him move like that because it was just the other day that he was born, right? Anyway, we love to watch him try to get his toys when he's on the floor. So I got this on video. He's been on the floor for a while and it was later at night, so I think he was a bit tired because...well, you have to watch it. It's pretty cute. And the pictures, I had to put up because he's adorable, but then...I am his mother and a bit biased!

Well, Maddux is all better now. And after over a week of him screaming through the night, it seems to be better. It's now been 2 nights that he has slept through without waking up. Although, he isn't going and staying down before 1, but that's ok with me because I'm up anyway. I'd rather have him stay up late and sleep in than go to bed early and wake early. And! He's been holding his bottle a lot better lately. So I think we are getting closer to the point where we can just hand it to him and he'll take it! Oh! I can't wait. And I think crawling is just around the corner. He's so wiggly and rolls all over and turns himself around. He's growing up! Her are some cute pictures of the little guy!
So...today Skyler and I went to the school and talked to some councilors about graduating. For me, I think I'm going to be done at the latest next April because I don't go to school in the fall. But I'll have a total random degree! University Studies-Minor in Home and Family Education-Cluster in Art and a Cluster in Humanities. Not what I had intended, but because sadly, and I hate to admit this, I have been here since 2003(I should have two degrees by now)I just want to get out. By any means possible. And Skyler has a few classes and an internship. I'm pushing for it to be in Chicago with his uncle! So it looks like 2010 is the year! Uh, it makes me sick to think I will have been here for seven years. BUT! I did in total take off a year of school. So six. Not much better. Why am I not a doctor or lawyer by now? ;)

DOCTOR'S AGAIN...

Last Wednesday I took Maddux to the doctors office because of his congestion. So they took an x-ray and gave us an antihistamine and a decongestant syrup and a nebulizer for his breathing. He's been sleeping awful again and it's killing me! Well, his coughing hasn't gotten any better and he was supposed to have his 4 month well baby check and immunizations today, but he couldn't get them because he now has slight pneumonia. They took another x-ray, daddy got to take him to this appointment, and found some congestion in his chest. that explains the cough that sounds like he might hawk up a lung! It is so funny! Maddux can touch the floor now when he is in his bouncy horse and he LOVES it! He goes wild in this thing. So I had to record it. He's figured out that when he bounces the music plays, so I had to show this to everyone. It's hilarious when he goes to town.

Spencer did it....he proposed! Skyler's brother is now engaged. I am writing this because my lovely brother-in-law has complaints I don't mention him in my blog....so here is one dedicated just to him. And pictures too! (that i stole from his facebook!)Kaitlin is from the Atlanta, GA area which I am totally excited about. So when we go back for the wedding we can see all the family Skyler and Maddux haven't met yet. I think, and hope, all of my family will come out so we can all venture up to to Alabamy to visit granny Barbara! Skyler has only heard stories.....! Hopefully we can pop over to Charleston. I love Charleston and Skyler has never been. I want to take him to the south to open his eyes to a whole new country!
So I'm way excited to get a new sister! I thought marrying Skyler was bringing some color into my family...now Spence is bringing color into his. I love it! She's going to look gorgeous in a white dress! She is so cute and sweet! It's going to be so fun to have her in the family! Good job Spence and good luck Kaitlin-The Malley men.... just love them.... ;)

This weekend we went down to Provo to see Great Grandma Carla. Unfortunatly grandma had to leave early because of problems with her heart. But she did get to see him one night. I felt awful because poor Maddux was gassy and scared of all the people he was around. So the little guy cried for over an hour.
While we were down in Utah, Maddux found a new attachment to his daddy. It is so cute and funny. He would only go to bed and fall asleep if Skyler held him and only wanted him to lie next to him.
We got to see Claire and Ryan and their sweet baby girl Lalea. She was so funny with Maddux. She kept crawling on him and poking his eyes and trying to take his paci from him. Lolli is so cute and I totally see her mom in her.
We also got to see our friend Julie for a minute, who couldn't believe that I was a mommy, let alone SKYLER as a DAD!

Maddux is getting so big and strong. He loves sucking on his fingers so much! We started him on cereal and he is doing so well! He definitely has a Malley male appetite! The cereal is great too because I think he is staying full longer because he is sleeping about seven straight hours a night. Amazing! We really haven't had to let him cry much in bed anymore either. He takes a lot of naps though and he gets so grumpy when he's tired and hungry. That's either normal or he's a product of his father who is a product of his father. I'm going with the latter. He's talking all the time now! It's so cute! I had to get a video of it. His daddy likes to play with. I was in class the other day and Skyler sent me this picture. He says he's teaching him to crawl! It hasn't worked yet. Right now I think we will work on rolling over and sitting up!

So last night we tried the ignoring thing to get him to stay asleep. Although i felt like a horrible mother and could hardly stand to hear my child cry....after about 20 minutes he stopped and slept for 7 hours! A record! So we will see how it goes tonight. I hope he starts to get the hint that we are going to UNspoil him and break him out of this bad habit of thinking he can cry or whimper and we will hold him. Here's some recent pictures. Skyler is now Mr. Mom this semester with me being in school. He's doing a great job

...all the good stuff! He's even finding out that it isn't so bad hanging out with a sweet little baby. So today Skyler found out that Maddux thinks it's funny when he wears a baseball cap. I was lucky enough to get it on my phone tonight when he showed me. It is so cute! They are cute together and here's a picture of them watching T.V. together! We put together his little jumperoo. It's a tad too big, but he seemed to like it for a minute or so.
Last night after we came home from our friends house Skyler was changing Maddux's diaper....I KNOW! Anyway, I came out of the bath room and he had the baby just laughing like crazy. It was so cute. Sorry about the angle...dad. I can't figure out how to turn it. Anyway, it's so cute to listen to him. Enjoy!

CHRISTMAS

So we went to Denver for Christmas and it was so nice to get out of the snow. I think there is a hidden secret about Denver that it isn't as cold as people think. The snow doesn't really stay on the ground and some days it's fairly warm for winter. It is completely better than Idaho, so that was a great break.
The biggest event that happened over our vacation was Skyler getting food poisoning. Christmas night he went to bed feeling sick and at 3am he woke up and bolted out of bed and dropped to the floor at the door. Yes, he didn't make it to the toilet but made it up the wall and door and all over the carpet. I scrubbed that floor and walls and held back my own vomit. Eugh, it was so gross. Poor Skyler was throwing up every hour until 2pm. Luckily, by that night he was feeling better and the next day he was back to normal.
So Maddux has discovered he can make noise, so he is always talking to us. occasionally we can get him to laugh, but every time we pull out our phone to record it he stops. And when we put it away...he begins again. Of course.

Maddux got his immunization shots today. That was loads of fun. He actually didn't do too bad. He just screamed like he was yelling at us that it hurt, then he stopped. I didn't even have to try and stop the crying. Unlike the other night. Good ol' dad was playing airplane with Max and he didn't like that much. He hated it so much that he cried for an hour. I think Skyler doesn't think his fear of falling is a joke anymore since the baby got so mad at him.
Last night it was so cute. I put him in his bassinet, which he is finally starting to really sleep in. It was his bouncy chair for a while, but he seems to be liking to lay down to sleep now and not having to HAVE the vibrations just to stay asleep. Anyway, he is SLOWLY learning to how to keep his binki in his mouth, but at a point last night he didn't want it in anymore, so he reached over and took it out of his mouth and just held it in his hand as he fell asleep. He's growing up! Now if only I could get him to consistently suck his two fingers. Then he could calm himself!

ok! I cut my hair! We went to California for Thanksgiving and I couldn't stand my hair anymore, so mom cut it for me! it was fun for everyone to see Maddux because he's getting bigger and more alert. I guess that's a good thing, however, I do miss him sleeping all the time which allowed me to get things done. Right now he's in the stage of wanting to be held and I can't leave the room or else he'll cry and freak out. He likes the TV though. He'll sit and watch it with Daddy. I can't wait until toys entertain him. My back is killing me from the little front pack I carry him around in. Here's some pictures from Thanksgiving and such!

Ok, I need some help deciding...Should I cut my hair or not. I altered a photo in photoshop to give some idea of what it would look like. Now, we need to take into consideration that these pictures were taken on a good hair day when I had people here to watch my child while I got ready. Here's a picture of how it looks daily. The other night we went to a reception and I dressed Maddux up all cute. He eats all the time and he's getting so big! He can finally fit into 0-3 month old clothes! Yea! Because that is the majority of what I have for him to wear. Before he was born I received an email from the BYU-I Alumni association saying that if we replied with the name of someone who is attending school who is having a baby we could get a free bib. So..I did it. You can't have too many bibs!

So everyone has come for the blessing tomorrow. It's totally crazy in the house, but it just feels like home growing up with people constantly in the house. It's a good thing that this town is big enough to have a few hotels! Savannah brought up Maddux's Halloween costume that she made...He was so cute in it and just feel right to sleep. The other night, Skyler carved his pumpkin in the transformer traditional style. Last year was Autobots, this year was decepticons. Nate, Skyler's best friend came up too. We had fun dressing him up for halloween. He went as Quail Man to party with Kadie, Savannah, and Skyler's brother Spencer. Lucky for me, Mom is back to give me some sleep and sty up with the baby. Grandma, I thought you'd like this picture of Skyler and Maddux asleep. Today we took family pictures, so when we get those we'll post them for everyone.

BLOW OUT!

We had our first blow out the other day. I'm so glad he was wrapped in a blanket and I caught it before it soaked through. Then, to top it off, as I was taking him to the changing table, he massively spit up all over his face and up his nose. Poor little guy was falling apart! So we gave him a bath and cleaned him all up, only to have him spit up as he was coming out of the water!
Our friend Brandon came over when mom was here and took some pictures for us of Max. Not very many turned out, so we're going to do it again, but here's a couple that I really liked.

Well mom and Paige left Wed morning. So real life began. Last night he slept for about 3 1/2 hours, then he woke every hour to eat. He has been eating so much the last couple days, especially today. non stop, except to sleep in my arms. Where's grandma?!! I changed Maddux's diaper today and as I pulled off his onesie his cord popped right off! He's a real boy now!! ;) He still is so small that he just doesn't fit into anything, so mom, Paige and I went to WalMart and found him a little pant suit and some premie onesies. Still big, but we are going to make it work. So here's a picture of him in his little outfit! (Compliments of Grandpa Anderson.) You can see his little feet...he has his daddy's feet, with grandpa Anderson's gap between his toes.

THE BABY IS HOME!

So after three days in the hospital, the doctor let us leave with a a pharmacy of drugs to dull my pain! The first night home Maddux woke every three hours! Fun! But now he's sleeping better, especially since grandma came to visit. I got everything all ready for her to be my helper at night and he slept! For 6 hours! Then last night night was four...I hope this is going to be a new thing and not just showing off for grandma. Grandma and Paige are having a great time with the baby and totally helping me out. My Aunt Annette drove them up from the SL airport and she stayed for a day. She was amazing and did ALL my laundry! Here are some pictures of the new addition!

BABY MADDUX IS HERE!

So everyone can be excited! He is here! He came at 1:52pm October 1st and weighs 6lbs and 11 oz! Here are some pictures of him. I'm sorry this is short, but the Loritab is kicking in and I'm about to pass out. Real quick though, from the very first contraction to the placenta coming out...about 16 hours. I know. Thank the good Lord for epidurals. I never would have maid it. Maddux is doing well. There was a little worry while he was still inside. His heart rate got low and they couldn't figure out why, so I almost had an emergency c-section. But...they decided to pump me back full of amniotic fluid and it helped! With every contraction the pressure would push on the cord and lower his rate, but then go right back up to normal. So the Doc said, push! we need him out asap! And he's doing great. Breathing and feeding just fine! Enjoy the pictures!

So I had one of my weekly appointments this morning... GOOD NEWS! Maddux could come sooner than we thought. I really hope anyway. He says I'm at a 1 1/2 and 100% effaced! He says the head is right there, so to expect contractions soon. He had me set up my next appointment, but he wonders if I'll even make it there. Gosh I hope I don't. I would love to have this crazy kid out of me! First, so I don't have someone kicking me ALL the time, and so I can breathe and bend once again. Oh how lovely that would be!
So, let's all say a little prayer and keep our fingers crossed!

I apologize to my Mother and Grandmother...I have been horrible about blogging. So here are some pictures for everyone. Not that I enjoyed taking the picture of me...as you can see how I feel about my "image" these days.
Skyler is equally thrilled to be going back to school and actually having to wake up and get dressed before noon.
Those who have not been to our apartment this summer are probably wondering why I have a picture of our porch on here. Our Landlord FINALLY fixed the porch. I wish I had a before picture, but just let me tell you that it was awful. It was practically suicide to walk down our steps. So this, although they didn't do the very best job, is a big improvement. We can walk down the steps without fear of falling on our face.
So, we have the majority of the baby's room done. Not that we are really doing much to it. But here's a picture of all the stuff we got and the crib that's all set up. We are getting very anxious. It's getting closer and closer! I go to the doctor's tomorrow, so we will see what he says. Hopefully it is good things...

THE FAM LEFT...

How sad...they are all gone. It was such a fun week, we hadn't seen them since Christmas. We all partied late into the night, coloring and cutting hair, playing games and watching movies. Paige loves Maddux already. She constantly had her hand on my stomach rubbing and kissing, telling Maddux that she loves him. I think it was a little weird though, for the family, to see me with a big belly. The next time they come up the baby will be out! Luckily, I think each one of them was able to feel the little turd(Skyler's words...) move around in my stomach. Kadie and Savannah even got to see him move abound and roll across my stomach. Tuesday, mom and dad's 25th wedding anniversary, we were all able to go to the Idaho Falls Temple and do baptisms. It was so neat for everyone to be able to be there together. Poor Skyler, he ended up doing all the baptisms because of dad's bad shoulder. And therefore, that left Taylor to be the only male proxy. One of the days we went up to the Rexburg temple and looked around. Unfortunately, It was being cleaned the entire week they were here, hence the trip to the I.F. temple. So, we took pictures and walked around the grounds and had a great time. Mom and Kendra Crooks(Saxton) threw me a baby shower and I made out like a bandit! So that was fun and if you know my mother, there was amazing food that went over very well with everyone. It's too bad that they had to leave, but real life has to start sometime I guess. I just hope that Kadie and Savannah will finish the applications and jump on the Rexburg bandwagon. I'm sure once the baby comes they motivation will increase....! Or at least next time they come up they will find that there are a lot more boys up here when school is actually in session rather than on break. That should do the trick to getting them up here!

Well, my sisters have informed my that Grandma checks everyone's blogs, daily...so HI GRANDMA, sorry there's no pictures with this one...
Well, my family all arrive on Sunday..at 5:45am. They left about 3 hours after the time they planned-No surprise!Totally expected, but we love them anyway! Luckily, we have some friends who have a 3 bedroom house and are out of town for a month, so they let my family stay there, which saves them a load on hotel bills! I decided to be a nice sister and give both my parents and Kadie and Savannah a break and let the two girls stay with us. What this also means is that Paige must follow. So...at the moment, I have three sisters asleep on my tiny living room floor. Now, we do have a spare room-for the time being-however, it is over run with computers at the moment. Skyler, Dad, Taylor and Summer have set up the room to all battle eachother in the computer game WarCraft. To even enhance the nerdery, our neighbor Calvin has even joined in from his apartment beneath us. And I thought Skyler was just a dumb jock when we first met....little did I know that hidden beneath all those sports there was a computer gaming nerd. But! I love him and he is totally enjoying my family....the BIG dinners, the games, and most of all...harassing Savannah and Kadie about boys and everything under the sun. Mostly Savannah, but everyone knows she gives the best reactions! So that's about it for now, ....Grandma, I'll update you later!

So this week is week 29. I can't believe how close it is, yet so far! Everyday, I feel bigger and bigger and I'm positive I look it. I can hardly bend, and I'm starting to waddle on occasion. Especially when I have to pee! Which is ALL THE TIME!!! I thought I was bad before i got pregnant, holy cow! Not to mention the gas, yeah that's a blast...for Skyler. But what can I say, I'm pregnant!
So my latest craving/addiction is otterpops. Love them! Luckily, they are only $3 for a bag of them. For a while it was honeycombs. Then the other day I bought a bag and Skyler wanted frosted flakes. Now it's frosted flakes. It used to be pickles. And fresh fruit was in there for a bit. I think now, it's really just anything that will keep me cool because my house is so dang hot all the time...or is it just me. No, it's me. Ok, it's both. Even Skyler notices. I have to say though, thank goodness I'm here and not in California. I think I would be dead. Anyway, that's it for now. Enjoy the gross picture. (It's on here for my mother's benefit!)

TEMPLE

So we just went to the temple today....I don't think I can do that again. It was so hot, I was so uncomfortable. We went went with Calvin and Andrea. It's so nice to have the temple right up the street from us. I got up there and only had half my recommend. Let me explain. I had a plastic cover on it and half had a picture of Christ, the other was the recommend. I forgot that a while back the picture broke off. So this morning I grabbed only the picture, not even thinking to check. So I got in and there was only a plastic picture of Christ in my hand. Oops! So I had to run home and grab. So therefore I am very glad to have the Temple right down the street. Anyway, from now on when we go, it can't be as long. I can barely make it, and I have a feeling it would just get even worse.

LATEST BABY

So I went to the doctors yesterday and had my gestational diabetes test. The drink was like cool-aid on steroids. The kind a little kid makes, with ten cups of sugar. I guess it could have been worse. After they took my blood, my doctor gave me an ultrasound. It was so cool to see Maddux look more like a normal baby! If you can tell in the pictures, he appears to have GIANT lips. It's kind of funny. Poor kid looks to have my nose, but maybe he'll grow into it and it won't be as big. Since Skyler couldn't be there, Doctor Watson thought he would give Skyler a picture of the baby's manhood. So we can all be sure it really is a boy. If it's not...poor girl. Here's the latest picture of the belly growth. I finally broke down and bought some maternity shorts. I've been holding out, but my normal jeans are a pain when I have to pee.

FOURTH OF JULY

I know it's a late posting, but oh well. I had to get through finals. Here's just a few pictures from Fourth of July. This year we went with some friends to go watch the fireworks down in Idaho Falls. They were pretty good. Calvin and Andrea knew some people who had a great spot with easy access to get out before all the traffic. Skyler wasn't too happy that I was having him take pictures to document the night.

Well we just got back from Colorado. It was beautiful! I guess I won't mind if we end up there in the future. Skyler's brother Spencer came home from his mission last Thursday, so we went to see him return. It was fun to have all the family there. Friday I got to go to my first major league baseball game. We went to see the Rockies and Skyler and I got our baseballs signed by a couple of the players. Skyler was so happy, like a little kid, when he got the shortstop Troy Tulowitzki's autograph. Then on Saturday my Mother-in-law and some ladies in the ward threw a baby shower for me. It was so fun, getting all the little clothes and stuff! When I get those pictures I'll put them up. It made me so anxious for Maddux to come!

So yesterday morning I went to bed at 6:30 am because of an art project that took much longer than expected. As I was going to bed I felt Maddux for the first time! It was so neat, even though he sat there kicking me for about five minutes. I just wish it had been enough for Skyler to feel, too. The cool thing is, now I can feel him all the time. Like as I type, right now I can feel him moving and kicking me. These ones are little, but last night I was pushing on my belly to see if he'd respond and he wasn't. So I gave up and the next thing I new, he gave me two big kicks. I think he wanted to play...either that or wanted me to leave him the heck alone!

So, pretty much everyone I know has one of these, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Not that there is too much excitement in our life besides the pregnancy. Maybe y'all will want to see those photos, that's probably about it. Let's see...something to tell...I went to bed at 6:30am this morning, and I don't even have the kid yet! Those dang art assignments, they get me everytime. Hmmm...Skyler got to baptize his best friend, Nate a couple weeks ago- that's exciting! Very emotional. But now he can marry Kadie and officially be part of the family. ;) I think they understand that I have it all planned out for them...Skyler was put into the bishopric-I know, I was shocked too!! ;) Now I have to sit alone, but I get out of scratching his back in Sacrament. Luckily we have good friends that take pity on me and sit with me each week. I guess that's it! For now anyway, until I get bored again.
